The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Freeport (ACAF, formerly Freeport Arts & Cultural Alliance) was incorporated in June 2015. The board of directors includes representatives from arts groups and the business community, individual artists in various disciplines, and advocates for the arts and culture from the community at large.
ACAF is dedicated to:
- Assessing the status and aspirations of the local arts and cultural community,
- Promoting local arts and cultural activities,
- Encouraging the community to include arts and culture in daily life, and
- Explore ways to collaborate in meeting the collective needs of artists and cultural groups, including the possible creation of an arts and cultural center in Freeport.
In May 2018, ACAF released the Freeport Cultural Plan, the result of an 18-month process of surveying the community and compiling that information into a plan that will guide and support the efforts of local artists, cultural organizations, and all those with a stake in a thriving arts and cultural sector.
We welcome your participation, support and feedback. Community involvement is critical as we work implement the Freeport Cultural Plan.
