[The Freeport Open Stage Coffee House has been postponed until March 25 due to the weather.]
Freeport’s own “safety zone for creativity” returns!
The coffee house offers a relaxed performance opportunity for budding artists, established entertainers, and everyone young and old and in between! Performances include music, comedy, poetry, skits, whatever! Past coffee houses have featured Shakespearean actors, poets, singers, songwriters, mimes, dancers, guitarists, harmonica players, and “house band” Crabapple Jam.
FREE admission. (Donations accepted to cover piano tuning!) Coffee, tea and treats will be available for $1.
AUDIENCE: just show up and enjoy!
PERFORMERS: just show up and sign up! Time limit is TWO SONGS OR ABOUT TEN MINUTES per performer/group, including any setup. If we have a really large sign-up, we’ll adjust as necessary to be fair to folks at the bottom of the list., and to our audience
For the next two years, Open Stage will be hosted by MASISTA (Maryellen And Sam In Support of The Arts). We’ll do our best to honor its traditions. We both thank Eric Bryant and his family for launching and sustaining what’s become an institution and a favorite heart-warmer for all involved.
