The Fine Print
Eligibility: Amateur and professional artists and cultural groups located in Freeport, Pownal, or Durham, Maine, are eligible for inclusion in the Big Easel. Images or photographs of finished works of art that are significantly visual — such as paintings, sculpture, dance and theatrical performance, film, and photography — will be considered for The Big Easel.
Specifications: Images submitted for The Big Easel must be high-res jpegs.
Copyright / Permission: Work submitted for inclusion in The Big Easel must be original and must be the property of the person submitting them. By submitting an image for The Big Easel, you are granting ACAF permission to use the work, including on the website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media.
Selection Criteria: The Big Easel editor will curate an attractive exhibit that shows as wide a range of styles and genres as possible from the eligible work we receive. Work by both professional and amateur artists will be considered.
Obscene/Offensive Material: ACAF’s website and social media will be viewed by community members of all ages and backgrounds. Images that are likely to be offensive, disturbing, or could be deemed obscene or hate-speech will be excluded. Content that is prohibited by law or the usage policies of our webhost and social media platforms will also be excluded.
