(3/9) Freeport Community Library’s Armchair Travel series is an annual shared escape from the humdrum of winter! The first talk in the series is presented by Rick Scala, on Costa Rica and her wildlife. Dominated by mountain ranges, volcanoes, cloud forests, rain forests, fertile valleys, and sunny beaches, Costa Rica is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Within its borders there is a wealth of wildlife due to the 12 distinct ecosystems. We will explore the varied animals and birds of this fascinating country that has protected over 30% of its land in national, regional, and private parks and sanctuaries.
