History of Freeport: Vaughndella Curtis

Lifetime Freeport resident Vaughndella Curtis will share her experiences growing up, getting married, and raising her family in South Freeport over the past 85 years! Vaughndella Curtis is a very active volunteer in the Freeport community. She has served on various town boards and committees. She was South Freeport Church’s first woman council president. She was also a founding member of Freeport Community Services. In 2014, Vaughndella Curtis was honored as Freeport’s Citizen of the Year along with her fellow “founding mothers” Betsy Ruff, Carol Southall, Janice Fogg, Suzie Harding, Sherry Smith. Doors open at 6pm. $5 suggested donation. Refreshments will be served.
