L.L.Bean Lecture Series: Fishing Glacier National Park
February 1, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free
Through video, photographs and his own words, Matthew Dickerson will share some of his experiences spending four consecutive weeks in Glacier National Park (Montana) as the June 2017 Artist-in-Residence. Dickerson spent time with rangers, National Park Service fisheries biologists, USGS fisheries and aquatic invertebrate biologists, studying river and stream ecology, with a focus on the protection and restoration of the park’s iconic native westslope cutthroat trout and bull trout.
Along with more general observations about the park, he will share some of what he has learned about the past, present and future of these fish and the rivers where they live, including some beautiful underwater videography of wild cutthroat.
SPACE IS LIMITED. Reserve your spot at LLBEAN.COM/FREEPORT
The lecture series continues on Friday evenings through April 26 with a variety of speakers on topics from Maine history to wilderness treks and more.
A FebFest event.
