Women In Harmony Outreach Ensemble

The Women in Harmony Outreach Ensemble will perform an uplifting concert celebrating the power of music and community. Selections include pieces by John David, Peggy Seeger, and Eric Whitacre, and songs performed by the Wailin’ Jennys, Libana and others. This 15-member ensemble is a subgroup of Women in Harmony, a vibrant, feminist chorus dedicated to musical excellence and social justice.
The group has performed at many special events for non-profits in the area including Natural Resources Council of Maine, Vigil for Victims of Gun Violence, Cumberland County Master Gardeners, Children’s Museum of Maine, Dempsey Centers, Opportunity Alliance Volunteers as well as local churches, libraries and assisted living communities.
Women in Harmony began in 1993 with a small group of energetic and committed women! Today WiH is a vibrant feminist chorus of approximately 60 members working together for unity among women. The group is dedicated to both musical excellence and social justice.
