Freeport Arts & Cultural Alliance, with support from the Freeport Town Council, is leading an effort to craft a cultural plan that everyone can use to make good decisions about how to support, promote and grow Freeport’s arts and cultural offerings. We have been hard at work gathering information from the public, local businesses and organizations, local artists and performers, and community leaders. In addition to focus group meetings, we just completed a public survey asking people’s opinions about Freeport’s arts & cultural offerings, resources, needs and interests. We have engaged Reinholt Consulting to help us translate all the information we have gathered into a robust plan.
This fall we will hold a public meeting to share a draft of the plan and solicit comment. We hope to have the final draft completed and available to the public by the end of this year.
We welcome anyone with an interest in the future of Freeport’s arts & cultural community to join us in this work. We need your ideas, and we need your help reaching out to the whole community to get their feedback on the draft plan when it is released this fall. Contact us at kiosk@FreeportArtsAndCulture.org to volunteer.
