Celebrate arts and culture at FebFest 2020!
The 6th Annual Freeport FebFest of Arts and Culture is a month-long movable feast of visual, performing, and literary arts and history and heritage. Independent presenters showcase the richness of local arts and culture and the creativity and talent on offer in Greater Freeport. FebFest opens this hidden cultural treasure trove just in time to put some spring into the winter doldrums.
We couldn’t be happier about the variety and excellence of this year’s offerings.
There is something to do almost every day, a wide variety of arts are represented, and there are opportunities to create in addition to the many performances and lectures to enjoy. There are events tailored to children and families. Most events are low-cost, by donation, or free.
Presenters include: ACAF, MASISTA, VisitFreeport, Pine Tree Academy, Coastal Winds, Ground Floor Freeport, Cadenza, Freeport Community Library, Freeport Players, Freeport High School, Freeport Middle School, John Albright, and Mark Evans. Collectively they offer a coffee house, open mic, and jam session; concerts in genres ranging from classical to jazz to bluegrass to pops; hands-on arts and crafts activities for kids; theater performances; lectures; the annual Freeport Visual Arts Collective exhibit; and more!
(Note: Just to the south of the visible map, South Freeport Church has an event, too! Scroll the map down to see their location.)
