UPDATED 6/18/22: Meetinghouse Arts’ Gallery & Stage COVID-19 Health and Safety Policy

Updated June 18, 2022

Meetinghouse Arts prioritizes the health and safety of our audiences, artists, staff, volunteers, and visitors. We follow federal and state public health guidelines to maintain safety. Meetinghouse Arts is a multi-use, flexible, shared space hosting a variety of activities and organizations. We strive to create a safe and welcoming space for all.
PROOF OF VACCINATION: At this time, we are no longer requiring proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test for admission to Meetinghouse Arts. We ask that audiences, artists, staff, volunteers, and visitors are symptom-free before attending public events.

MASK POLICY: Masks are optional for all audiences, artists, staff, volunteers, and visitors. We still highly recommend masks for any indoor seated event where physical distancing is not possible.

By entering an event, attendees voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Please contact director@freeportartsandculture.org with any questions. Thank you for your kindness, consideration, and for taking care of each other. We look forward to welcoming you to Meetinghouse Arts!

Updated March 22, 2022

The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Freeport (ACAF) prioritizes the health and safety of our audiences, artists, staff, volunteers, and visitors to Meetinghouse Arts. We follow federal and state public health guidelines to maintain safety. Meetinghouse Arts is a multi-use, flexible, shared space hosting a variety of activities and organizations.

MASK POLICY: Effective immediately, we require Visitors, Staff, Volunteers, and Audiences to wear masks while indoors when attending a performance, workshop, lecture, reception, or any indoor scheduled event where physical distancing is not possible. Performers or Speakers may choose to be unmasked while performing onstage. Masks are optional for visitors to the Gallery.

PROOF OF VACCINATION: All attendees to indoor performances or events at Meetinghouse Arts Stage must show complete, up to date*, proof of vaccination (*including boosters for those who are eligible). This policy applies to audiences, staff, volunteers, and artists, and extends to rental events as well as ACAF-sponsored events. If you cannot verify that you are fully vaccinated, you must provide a time-stamped printout, photo, or email of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event, or a Rapid Antigen Test administered by an authorized provider taken within 12 hours of the event (home test kits are not accepted). Children under 5 are exempt from the vaccination and testing policy, and children under 2 are exempt from the vaccination, masking, and testing policy.

The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Freeport (ACAF) prioritizes the health and safety of our audiences, artists, staff, volunteers, and visitors to Meetinghouse Arts. We will follow federal and state public health guidelines to maintain safety. Meetinghouse Arts is a multi-use, flexible, shared space hosting a variety of activities and organizations.

Due to the virulent and highly contagious nature of new variants, we require all Visitors, Staff, Volunteers, and Audiences to wear masks while indoors. Performers or Speakers may choose to be unmasked while performing onstage if they can maintain distance from the audience.

For Activity Taking Place in the Performance Venue only:

Until further notice, proof of vaccination will be required before entering Meetinghouse Arts for all indoor performances or events. This policy applies to audiences, staff, volunteers, and artists, and extends to rental events as well as ACAF-sponsored events. If you cannot verify that you are fully vaccinated, you must provide a time-stamped printout, photo, or email of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance or a Rapid Antigen Test taken within 24 hours of the performance.

Visit https://www.maine.gov/covid19/testing for a list of testing locations that are part of Maine’s testing program.

Please note: Effective December 18, children ages 5 to 11 are required to show proof of at least one vaccination shot prior to December 4, or negative test results as described above. Children under 5 are exempt from the vaccination and testing policy, and children under 2 are exempt from the masking and testing policy.

By entering an event, attendees voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
