Shelley Breton is a self-taught artist living in Maine who has been painting and studying in oils for over 10 years. Although her education and career are science-based, she has always had a love of the arts. Her work reflects her connection to the beautiful resources her home state has to offer. She is especially drawn to the effects of early and late day light on the local land and seascape, as well as floral still life, and figurative work. “One never lacks for inspiration in the beautiful state of Maine.”
Shelley is an oil painter focusing on landscape, seascape, floral and figure in the local community and the state of Maine. She currently serves as President of the Art Guild of Freeport.
